It's a glissentar - it's a cross between a classical guitar and an oud (hence the 11 strings - all pairs with a single low E). I've been playing this since Godin brought it out about six years ago. I use it with my jazz trio quite a bit and for specific solo work. It's a bit of a niche instrument but it's an interesting niche that it fits into.
